An inaccurate Claremont slumped to their sixth consecutive defeat, with the Tigers suffering a 32-point loss against West Perth at HBF Arena last Saturday.

Despite recording five more inside 50s, the Tigers were unable to translate their efforts into goals, with the Falcons prevailing 13.14 (92) to 7.18 (60).

Keifer Yu (20 disposals, four tackles) was again one of Claremont’s best players despite suffering a heavy knock and being forced from the field in the final term, while Matt Guelfi (23 disposals, four tackles, one goal) was prominent.

Bailey Banfield (27 disposals, eight tackles, five inside 50s) continued his fine season, while Harrison McCracken gave the team plenty of drive.

Eddie Simpson (two goals) and Jacob Sideris (five tackles) made promising debuts, while Jared Hardisty laid eight tackles and Ian Richardson (22 disposals, eight inside 50s, one goal) took home the players’ player award.

Meanwhile, Anthony Morabito lined up in his 50th League game.

On a sour note, Jye Bolton was reported for striking West Perth’s Dean Munns.

West Perth were led by Andrew Strijk (six inside 50s, five goals) and Shane Nelson (34 disposals, seven inside 50s) as the team recorded their fifth consecutive win.

Despite both teams recording nine scoring shots in the opening term, the Tigers could only manage a return of 1.8, with the Falcons adding 6.3 to effectively seal the result.

The Tigers will now cool their heels before hosting East Fremantle at Claremont Oval in round 12.
