Mitchell Returns to Tigerland

Wednesday, February 7, 2018 - 4:11 PM

The Claremont Football Club is ecstatic to announce the return of a favourite son, Kane Mitchell. Five years after a breakout season that saw him secure the EB Cook, the Sandover Medal, and leading the Club to our second premiership in many years. Kane’s journey across the country and across the world have led him back to Davies Road for the 2018 Season and beyond. In the years away from Tigerland, Kane spent 4 of those in South Australia with the Port Adelaide Football Club playing a total of 35 AFL games and kicking 19 goals. A year away from the game followed in 2017, where Mitchell applied his trademark enthusiasm and tenacity to the more relaxing pursuits of snowboarding the ski fields in Canada.

A journey south through the Americas followed before the football itch became too great and a return to his home town eventuated. The club is delighted to have a player of this ability and character return to the club where it all began for him, some 14 years ago in our development squads.

With round 1 just under 2 months away be sure to jump on the tiger train for what is sure to be a fantastic season. Call the club to become a member today.
