Claremont’s Reserves recorded their first win for the season after smashing a woeful East Perth by 78 points at Leederville Oval.

A brilliant team performance was the catalyst for victory in perfect conditions, with the Tigers prevailing 17.6 (108) to 5.0 (30) to end a two-game losing streak.

League Report - Tigers roar past Royals

Claremont have continued their dominant start to the season after defeating East Perth by 36 points at Leederville Oval last Friday night.

Despite trailing by five points at the opening change, the Tigers put in a blistering second term, kicking 6.2 to no score on the way to a third straight win, 16.9 (105) to 11.3 (69).

Langdon relishing new role

Zac Langdon had more inside 50s (eight) than any other player in Claremont’s 59-point win against Perth in round three, and after bulking up over the off-season, is enjoying spending more time in the midfield.

Langdon played 11 League games in 2016 but knew he had more to offer after playing in the Reserves’ premiership.

Round 4 - East Perth v Claremont

Three consecutive wins is what Claremont will be aiming for when they face East Perth at Leederville Oval on Friday night.

The Tigers demolished Perth by 59 points in round three to make it consecutive wins, while the Royals are yet to record a victory this season.

Ryan Neates is set to be sidelined for two weeks after suffering a knee injury in the win over Perth, while Jared Hardisty (ankle) and Nick Winmar (hamstring) will need to pass fitness tests.

Development Report: Tigers Overrun by Demons

Claremont’s Reserves remain winless after a 19-point loss to Perth at Lathlain Park left the Tigers with consecutive losses to start the season.

Despite a bye in round two and 24-point lead at half-time, Claremont were outscored 11 goals to four in the second half of the 13.11 (89) to 16.12 (108) defeat despite leading at every change and recording seven more inside 50s.

However, there were positives for the Tigers.

League Report: Manuel leads the way for Tigers

A best-on-ground performance from Alex Manuel helped Claremont record consecutive wins after smashing Perth by 59 points at Lathlain Park.

The hard-working Tiger, in just his ninth League game, finished with 27 disposals, seven marks and five goals as well as having a hand in several others to take home the players’ player award following the 22.15 (147) to 13.10 (88) victory.

The Tigers won every quarter, recorded 19 more inside 50s, 14 more scoring shots and had nine goal kickers as they continued their dominant start to the season and left the Demons winless.

Round 3 - Perth v Claremont

The Tigers recorded a 62-point victory over East Fremantle in round one before a bye last weekend, and will be looking to put in another spirited performance against the Demons, who have started the season with two losses.
